Working with synthetics can be a big challenge when it comes to printing. And finding a water based ink that prints on a nylon, Lycra with a four way stretch, was nearly impossible. We were so grateful when we finally found Permaset Aqua . Not only did it take to the fabric beautifully but also the ink held through our rigorous testing process. We used the process inks to create the first ever CMYK bathing suit.
Permaset Fabric inks are much more opaque and vivid which not only saves time and money but that in itself is friendlier to the environment, using less ink + better quality prints = wasting less. I do not know if I am imaging this but I swear there is even a nice smell when I iron my fabric thats been screen printed, somebody please agree so that I know Im not crazy!?
The ink is so thin that it seeps into the shirt fibers giving you flawless cover. Since the ink is not a thick slab of plastic sitting on top of the fibers the ink wont ever crack like most industrial prints. Did I mention you cant feel the print at all? Literally zero hand.
The three big selling points for us are - the quality of the ink, it's ease of use for screen printing on papers, and Permasets eco-friendly content.
Having worked with other water based inks, we have found the quality of permaset to consistently outrank all others. We have found that in particular, the supercover line offers a wonderful, bright opaque coverage.
I really do love Permaset Aqua. It's a great ink that does everything I need it to do. It being solvent free makes it even better.
This ink is the only product I will use on my pillows. It has a soft hand and great washability and does not fade when washed. I have tried everything on the market and this is the only product that I could get exactly the right combination of softness and richness--I love it!
